Bear had to be put to sleep yesterday.  A few of my friends, one of which raised him, and I buried in the woods behind my mom’s house during the first snowfall of the year.  The little guy had seemed sick since he came into my home three weeks ago, but we thought it was just an infection and were treating him with antibiotics.  He hadn’t been getting better.  I found out Friday that it was FIP, a fatal untreatable disease.  The vet said these FIP cats just “fade away” and that he would have a couple very painful weeks at most.
